OAKLEY ACRES FARMS
Oakley Acres Farms is a family-owned farm. We raise our Merino sheep prioritizing their well-being while producing high-quality, fine wool. Through regenerative soil practices, we nourish the land and long-term soil health. Our commitment to sustainability and responsible farming ensures that our Merino sheep thrive, while our wool remains renowned for its softness and exceptional quality. At Oakley Acres, we strive to create a harmonious balance between nature, animals, and agriculture.

OUR NAME
Our Merino farm is named Oakley Acres Farms in honor of our beloved dog, Oakley. Oakley was an exceptional dog who brought so much joy and love into our lives. Between his small mohawk and his quirks, there was no one else like him. He had a gentle, loyal nature and always kept us company through thick and thin. Unfortunately, his time with us was tragically cut short, leaving a void that we will always feel. Naming our farm after Oakley is a way for us to keep his memory alive, as he was truly a part of our family. The name Oakley Acres Farms represents the love, dedication, and connection we felt with him, and continues to remind us of the joy he brought into our lives every day.

ABOUT OAKLEY ACRES FARMS
After years of working in the corporate world, we realized that despite the steady paycheck and predictable routine, something was missing – fulfillment. The grind of the 9-to-5 left us yearning for a deeper connection to nature, a lifestyle where we could embrace our passion and hands-on work. Driven by a desire for greater personal satisfaction, we took a bold leap of faith and started a life in farming.
In 2020, we made our dream a reality by establishing a sheep farm, focusing on practices that honor the land and animals. As we learned the ropes of sheep farming, we became passionate about raising high-quality Merino sheep, known for their exceptional wool. The transition was challenging but incredibly rewarding, as we connected with the land and discovered the joy of working with animals and producing high-quality, all-natural products.
Our focus on premium Merino wool grew from a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship behind hand-spinning and a desire to offer fiber artists and spinners the best possible raw material for their work. By combining our dedication to sustainability, the environment, and the fine art of farming, we created a business that brings us joy every day and allows us to share the fruits of our labor with a community of like-minded individuals.
Today, our farm produces premium wool for hand spinners and fiber artists, offering a unique, natural product that reflects our journey from corporate life to a more fulfilling, hands-on career. We’re proud to provide fiber that’s ethically sourced, carefully harvested, and perfect for those who value craftsmanship, sustainability, and connection to nature.
Our mission is simple: to offer the finest wool while living a life of purpose and joy. And we’re excited to invite you to be a part of that story as we continue to grow, learn, and share our passion with the world.
